8. Cringer/Battle Cat

Battle Cat Battle Cat is awesome, not disputing that. Cringer, unfortunately, doesn't translate to film as well. Having an English-speaking, cowardly panther walking around and whining about potentially dangerous situations just doesn't strike the right chord with the tone this movie needs to take. To do Battle Cat right, he needs to not talk and needs to look notably different when transforming from mild mannered Cringer into the goon-stomping feline of fear. Lest we forget, the original cartoon was made to promote the toy line. It was in their best interest then to introduce as many characters as possible in hopes of selling figures. This time they will be selling movie tickets. Keep Battle Cat a quiet and secondary character. The right decision: Showcase Battle Cat during action scenes. The wrong decision: Preceding fight scenes with a condescending He-Man saying "Come on Cringer..."
