Young rookie Lightning McQueen gets fully inducted into the world of animated stock car racing in mechanophilia-themed fan fiction Rite of Passage. The night before a big race, McQueen has an encounter in a garage with a random tentacle called Harvey that proceeds to worm its way into his undercarriage and have its wicked way with him.

It doesn’t end there though as car and tentacle are soon joined by Doc Hudson who, it turns out, has already come across (pun intended) Harvey the Tentacle and before long the trio are engaged in one of the weirdest three-ways anyone has ever had the displeasure of reading about.

The fan fic doesn’t really get into the logistics of a stock racing car and a vintage Hudson Hornet going at it like rabbits in the confined space of a garage beyond a few mentions of members and shafts, but the real question we’re left asking is – who is Harvey the tentacle?

Well there is a character named Harv in Cars who acts as Lightning McQueen’s agent and who’s voiced by Jeremy Piven or Jeremy Clarkson if you’re watching the UK version of Cars – both of whom are disturbingly unsexy additions to a ménage à trois already featuring the voices of Owen Wilson and Paul Newman.
