10 Deleted MCU Scenes You Have To See
1. Loki Is The King - Thor: The Dark World
Considering Thor: The Dark World is thought of as one of the worst MCU movies, it’s a little strange that it’s the only movie to feature here twice, but that’s obviously what happens if you keep cutting the good stuff.
One of the reasons the movie was so uninspiring was the fact Christopher Ecclestone and Natalie Portman clearly did not want to be there. However, this scene focuses of Tom Hiddlestone’s Loki, a man who looks like he enjoys every minute of being Asgard’s antihero.
The cut scene in question is a dream sequence, something which always feels a little bit iffy in a movie. Also, the point of it is to show the heights of Loki’s ambitions and how much he craves power and glory; something already made clear to us by his arc in both this movie and the preceding Thor film, not to mention Avengers in between.
However, when you consider its place in The Dark World as a whole it’s easy to see how it might have improved things. The entire film is a fairly dour, overly serious affair - nothing like its fun, flashy sequel Ragnarok. Loki’s coronation dream would at least have made it enjoyable.
