10 Deleted MCU Scenes You Have To See

3. Captain America Saves A Car Full Of People - The Avengers

The Battle Of New York remains one of the most iconic scenes in the entire MCU, and for good reason. We get that classic shot of the Avengers all together, there’s the brilliantly directed long tracking shot which follows the Avengers all around the city, and we see each of them doing their own thing too.

It helps, of course, that the whole thing is drenched in the nostalgia of their first team up, but even with that in mind, it ran a bit long. To help resolve this, a scene where Captain America saves a family in their car was left on the cutting room floor.

You can understand why, considering Cap has many moments of heroism in the sequence and it’s well established that he looks out for the little guy. It’s only a fan theory that makes this anything special, but it’s still worth discussing.

Fans have speculated that the bespectacled boy who hands Steve his shield is actually Peter Parker. It’s not without its flaws: the makeup of the family is different to what we know of Peter’s and there’s a similar theory that the boy in the Iron Man mask in 3 is Peter too. Fun theory though.
