10 Deleted Scenes That Actually Improve Movie Characters

8. J Jonah's Secret Suit - Spider-Man 2 (2004)

JK Simmons surprised us all in 2019's Spider-Man: Far From Home with his return to the Spider-Verse as DailyBugle.net host J Jonah Jameson.

But once upon a time he was part of the glue that held web-slinger filmmaking together, as the editor-in-chief of New York's biggest tabloid newspaper, The Daily Bugle, in Sam Raimi's Spider-Man trilogy. Believing him a ne'er do well of the highest order, Jameson wants nothing more than to see the end of Spider-Man, and is willing to publish anything to discredit him.

In a deleted scene from the much beloved Spider-Man 2 - one of the front-runners for best Spidey film ever to make it to the silver screen - we get to see precisely what Jameson does when Spidey's reign is over and he has his suit in hand: prance around his office wearing the thing, of course!

This scene is a rare insight into Jameson's complex relationship with Spider-Man's mythos, showing that his obsession is rooted in envy and perhaps even admiration. At the same time, it's a lot of fun, casting a camp and comic light on an otherwise butch and brash 'man's man'.
