According to the man himself, we'd have all been much bigger fans of Jared Leto's version of the Joker in 2016's Suicide Squad had so much of his stuff not been left out of the movie.

These included scenes of him shooting up a restaurant, interrogating Captain Griggs, and emerging from the helicopter crash that was supposed to have killed him off.

And where the Clown Prince of Crime goes, his loved-up sidekick is never far behind.

Margot Robbie's Harley Quinn also suffered as a result of the cuts, as they chopped out giant parts of her transformation. A scene was left out that showed Harley chasing down the Joker's car on a motorcycle, before committing her first kill to impress him.

Leaving all this footage on the cutting room floor helped condemn Suicide Squad to the fate it suffered at the hands of critics and fans.

We're not saying these scenes would have saved it - the Second Coming couldn't have done that - but we are saying we might have enjoyed it a little bit more were we given any reason to care about so many of its characters.
