10 Deleted Scenes That Would Have Improved Movies

8. Lion King: Nala

This Disney classic has been inspiring people to ask the same question for decades: what the hell is Nala doing out there when she finds Simba with Timon and Pumba? Simba walked for days upon days, nearly dying before Timon and Pumba whisked him away to their home. Yet Nala just happens to have safely found her way out there? What the hell Walt!?

Well, it turns out, this question was set to be answered in the original drafts of the film. An entire section of the film was to chronicle the struggle of the Pride Lands after Scar takes over, including a couple of extra musical numbers for good measure. In this sequence, Scar tries to get Nala to become his lover and mother his children. When she refuses, Scar banishes her and his hyenas chase her off.

Surely this was cut off that back of the fact that Disney wasn't going to touch a rape storyline with a twenty-nine-and-a-half-foot pole, but it really shouldn't have been left out. It fills in crucial plot holes and also gives us a deeper look into the awful reality the Pride Lands are facing without Simba.
