10 Deleted Scenes That Would Have Improved Movies

5. The Force Awakens: Kylo And The Falcon

This is yet another omission that is made all the more glaring due to subsequent films.

Originally, after Han, Chewie, and Finn land on Starkiller Base, Kylo Ren and a team of snowtroopers find the ship and search it. From a narrative perspective, this cements Kylo's feeling that a team has been sent to rescue Rey. But what's more important is that it serves as an important character moment for young Ben Solo, where he comes face to face with his past. It foreshadows he and Han's later literal confrontation and gives us a glimpse into the mind of Kylo.

The Last Jedi played heavily upon how the killing of Han solo affected Kylo. Snoke refers to it as 'splitting him to the bone'. This sequence gives us a glimpse into just how much resonance his past still holds for him.

Plus, it gives an added weight to the moment in Last Jedi where he picks up Han's golden dice, only for them to disappear. All around, this sequence is important to Kylo's character and would have improved not only Force Awakens, but subsequent films as well.
