10 Deleted Scenes That Would Have Improved Movies

4. It: Family Vacation

The recently released version of It has a solid ending as is but it was almost unbelievably better.

As it stands now, the film ends on a sweet and intimate moment between Beverly and Bill, before cutting to a title card revealing that this entire film was merely Chapter One, leaving the audience to infer there is more to come.

However, a deleted ending was set to come right after Bev and Bill's kiss. It features Bill's family packing up to leave town for a family vacation and leaving Derry. As they leave, the camera lingers on a sewer drain as we hear some mischevious noise before it cuts to black.

On the surface, this is a more overt tease that a sequel is coming but it also provides some nice closure and set-up. It closes out Bill's arc from this film and foreshadows how he and his friends will drift apart between films. Instead, the filmmakers opted to leave The Losers Club and the audience on a much happier note.

Which is fine, it's just a lot more boring than the dour and emotionally complex ending we could have had.
