10 Deleted Star Wars Movie Scenes You've Never Seen
4. Han Gets Court-Martialed - Solo: A Star Wars Story
Disney had big plans for 2018's Solo: A Star Wars Story, envisioning it as a launchpad for a bunch of new Star Wars anthology movies and sequels starring Alden Ehrenreich as a younger version of the daring hero.
Alas, the movie bombed at the box office, effectively killing any plans the company had for it. Oh dear.
Never mind, at least it gave us an insight in the pre-Rebel life of the galaxy's favourite ruffian - how he met Lando, how he got his name, how he was court-martialed by the Imperial academy for nearly crashing a ship...
Wait a second, that last one didn't happen, did it?
The movie explains that Han was formerly training to join the Imperial Navy as a pilot, but got kicked out for not following orders. A scene cut from the film shows this moment, as young Solo narrowly avoids death during a TIE Fighter crash.
In the next scene, Han is shown sporting an eyepatch in front of a disciplinary committee, who unanimously vote to banish him to the infantry, where he'd meet Tobias Beckett, his gang of criminals, and some Wookie called Chewbacca.
