10 Deleted Star Wars Scenes That Should Have Been Left In

8. The Foundations Of The Rebellion - Revenge Of The Sith

During Revenge of the Sith (2005), it was starting to become clear just how corrupt and sketchy Chancellor Palpatine (Ian McDiarmid) was. With the Jedi coming to sense that the Dark Side surrounded him, even the mostly peaceful Senate were considering taking unprecedented action to save democracy.

In one of the film's many deleted scenes, Padme Amidala (Natalie Portman), Bail Organa (Jimmy Smits) and Mon Mothma (Genevieve O'Reilly) meet with some close allies to discuss what needs to be done to preserve their democracy.

Both Mon Mothma and Bail Organa would go on to become leaders of the Rebellion, with Organa even raising Leia (Carrie Fisher) after the death of her mother. The deleted scene allows audiences to see how the seeds were planted for the movement, with Organa suggesting they set up an "organisation" to combat Palpatine's power.

It would have made a cool nod to the future films, and would have given fans more time with some criminally underused characters.

I get to write about what I love, so that's pretty cool. Every great film should seem new every time you see it. Be excellent to each other.
