For wrestling fans, the words "May 19th" will forever trigger memories of an utterly bizarre few weeks and months of WWE television back in 2006.

To those who don't have a penchant for the grappling game, May 19th was a date constantly said for a spell by the hulking, demonic Kane. He would talk to himself, saying that date over and over, and anybody who likewise said this date would get decimated by Kane in brutal fashion.

As the weeks went on, Kane began to see images of the mask he'd worn upon debuting in WWE in 1997. Not just that, but he'd also be confronted by his own '97 self (or, y'know, fellow wrestler Luke Gallows in dress-up) as this mystery rumbled on.

This was painful. This was awful. This made for horrendous television. And wouldn't you know it, this was all done as a way to promote WWE Films' See No Evil.

In See No Evil, Glenn Jacobs - aka the man behind the Kane character - headlined as murderous religious nut Jacob Goodnight. As for May 19th? Why, that just so happened to be the date that See No Evil hit theaters across the US.
