From one parent to another now. Is it unfair to call protagonist Korben Dallas' (Bruce Willis) mother a villain? If you value the sanctity of your ears, definitely not.

Though she's hardly an out-and-out Bad Guy on the level of, say, Jean-Baptiste Emanuel Zorg (Gary Oldman), Mrs. Dallas is nevertheless an extremely grating presence every time she shows up.

Mercifully, her appearances are strictly non-visual and limited to whining down the phone to anyone who will listen, most of all her long-suffering son Korben.

Her exchanges with her son are limited to guilt-tripping and insulting him, even calling him a "big ape." A loving mother, everybody.

Hell, she's obnoxious enough to additionally invoke the ire of President Lindberg (Tommy "Tiny" Lister Jr.), calling him an idiot and rambling on enough that he just... passes the phone to one of his underlings.

Mrs. Dallas may not be scheming with Evil itself, but she's one of history's all-time great energy vampires, draining the joy and vitality of anyone unfortunate enough to be subjected to her voice.
