10 Devastatingly Dark MCU Theories

9. Doctor Strange Sent The Hulk To Sakaar

When the Hulk was confirmed to be appearing in Thor: Ragnarok, fans got extremely excited for what would ultimately become a very loose adaptation of the Planet Hulk storyline from the comics. He found himself on a far-off world as a gladiator of sorts, but that was about as far as the comparison went.

There was no rebellion led by the Hulk and a much more serious Korg from the comics, and at no point did Hulk return to Earth with a vengeance in a World War Hulk story that could have turned him into the MCU’s next big bad.

However, it’s possible that there was one more thing that could have been taken from the pages of the source material in regards to this story. Namely that Hulk didn’t land on Sakaar by accident, but instead he was sent there by his fellow heroes. In the comics this was the Illuminati, while in the MCU it may just have been Doctor Strange.

In Ragnarok, Stephen confirms he has a list of dangerous people, and after what the Hulk did in South Africa, there is no doubt the huge green rage monster held a place upon it. Could Strange have seen Hulk leaving Earth on the quinjet and used his magic to “gently guide” him to a world he likely knew there was very little chance of him ever returning from?
