8. Colin Trevorrow

Colin TrevorrowWhy should Trevorrow join the DCCU? Largely untested with big-budget material, Colin Trevorrow has nonetheless seemed to have impressed the right people somewhere along the line. His first feature was the well-received comedy Safety Not Guaranteed in 2012, and he was immediately sought by Disney to write a remake of the 1986 film Flight of the Navigator. Not long after that, Trevorrow was nailed down as director and co-writer of the Jurassic Park sequel Jurassic World. What should Trevorrow direct? The success or failure of Jurassic World could make or break Trevorrow's directorial aspirations. If it bombs, he'll likely be branded as a small-budget comedy guy. If it does well, DC and Warner Brothers could look to Trevorrow to provide a little humor to one of their major titles. Flash, Booster Gold, and countless other Justice Leaguers could certainly benefit from a slightly less-serious interpretation.
