10 Directors Who Could Reboot Batman

2. Alfonso Cuaron

Alfonso Cuaron Cuaron is not a name you want associated with an adaptation, but, for this, I'll make an exception. Cuaron made the third Harry Potter without actually reading the book--he's done this with other adaptations. While some like the third film the most, as a fan of the third book, I was turned off by his film version. However, I have seen Children of Men. That film is amazing. Undeniably amazing. If Cuaron directed the next Batman film like that, incorporating soft sci-fi with an incredibly grim, intense plot, it would be awesome. Cuaron's films, no matter how "realistic," always feel larger than life and fantastic, which is just what Batman needs if he wants to exist in a world where a man can fly and green rings summon tanks. Cuaron doesn't need to really read every Batman story to get a good adaptation. He just needs to know the core essentials, and craft his world from there...but please respect the source material.

An aspiring writer, I am an avid fan of everything nerdy. Movies, televisions, games, comics, literature. Anything, I'm interested. Though my real passion is writing. Maybe one day I'll be a published author with books everywhere. Who knows...?
