10 Directors Who Just Made Their Worst Movie
1. Rupert Sanders - The Crow
And finally, not unlike McG, Rupert Sanders' transition from the music video world to that of filmmaking has been a shaky one, to say the least.
Sanders' first two films - Snow White and the Huntsman and Ghost in the Shell - both garnered mixed reviews from critics, but his recent new take of The Crow is his first project to score outright disdain from both reviewers and general punters.
Even if you ignore the fact that few were asking for another adaptation of James O'Barr's most famous creation, there's just a staggering lack of intrigue here from top to bottom. Bill SkarsgÄrd is fine as the title character, but outside of this, the bloated runtime, excessively clean visuals, and general tedium of the entire exercise render it a complete artistic failure.
Rupert Sanders could do himself a huge favour by ensuring that his fourth film isn't an adaptation of an existing IP, because going by his filmography to date, it's clearly not his forte.
