10 Directors Who Suffered The Most In 2015

8. Joss Whedon (Avengers: Age Of Ultron)

Avengers: Age Of Ultron currently sports a 74% approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes and yet it€™s spoken of like it€™s the ugly stepchild of the MCU. Sure, it€™s not as good as the first one, but it was still a very enjoyable, well-made movie and yet, Joss Whedon seems to have gone through hell to get it completed. Much has been made about how the usually upbeat Whedon seemed exhausted as postproduction neared a close, speaking of how he struggled to watch a cut of the film but only saw its flaws. In this unique instance, it€™s not the public or the critics who beat up on Whedon, it was himself. The whole Avengers experience seems to have completely drained the beloved filmmaker as he€™s now done with Marvel (at least for the moment) and has no other projects officially lined up. It€™s surely not the last we€™ve heard of him, but expect a fair amount of recovery time before he resurfaces.
