10 Directors Who Will Ruin Upcoming Films

7. David Gordon Green - Halloween

Dumbo Tim Burton
Dimension

The latest attempt at a Halloween reboot is being helmed by a man with stacks of experience, David Gordon Green. Unfortunately for Michael Myers fans, his experience is in the wrong genre.

Green's back catalogue mostly consists of comedies such as Your Highness, Pineapple Express and The Sitter, but at least he's joined on the creative team by Danny McBride, who's best known for... oh, wait.

You see the problem here. Two men with virtually no track record in slasher horror between them have been charged with reviving one of the genre's most iconic killers. Series mastermind John Carpenter is on board as executive producer and creative consultant, but that's a hell of a drag factor to compensate for.

Hollywood has been churning out Halloween movies for almost four decades, and in all that time, only one of them is regarded as great. What are the chances of Green and McBride being the ones to buck that trend?
