How in God's name did The Room - you know, The Room - cost $20 million to make? I mean, to put that into perspective, Lost In Translation only cost $4 million. You could make Lost In Translation five times over with the budget of the room.

Tommy Wiseau's debut "masterpiece" hasn't ended his career in the sense that he's still somehow making money out of promoting and touring and introducing this thing at festivals, but it certainly doomed his chances as a director - nobody in their right mind is going to let him get behind the camera having seen this hilarious train-wreck in motion, after all.

Thank God he raised all the money himself, huh?
