10 Disney Live-Action Remakes That Won't Happen

1. Song Of The South

Perhaps the most controversial Disney film ever made Song of the South is also the least likely Disney film to ever be remade.

Although not fully animated since this film incorporates live-action actors interacting with animated characters Song of the South could be made into a CGI-live-action hybrid similarly to Disney's Pete's Dragon, in which the original was also an animation-live-action hybrid.

Facing a large amount of criticism for its handling of race in post-slavery America through the character of Uncle Remus a live-action Song of the South will certainly never hit our screens.

Song of the South has become something of a Voldemort for Disney as the film is rarely mentioned and is yet to receive even an official DVD release. It only features in the current Disney line up via the Splash Mountain rides at Disney theme parks which ignores the live-action characters entirely, suggesting this is one animated tale Disney wants everyone to forget.
