10 Disney Live-Action Remakes That Won't Happen

Despite being a commercial and critical success, it is unlikely that a live-action remake of Disney's 1999 animated classic Tarzan will ever exist.
Unlike many films on this list, Tarzan was popular with audiences and critics and continues to be on display in a variety of Disney products. Tarzan managed to gain 2 direct to DVD sequels as well as a Broadway show, a video game presence, and theme park rides.
However, what may dash fan's hopes of a Disney live-action is the under performance of other attempts to show Tarzan's story in live-action. In 1998 Tarzan and the Lost City bombed at the box office and that result was the same for the 2016 attempt The Legend of Tarzan.
Poor performances by these live-action Tarzan movies must surely put Disney off parting with the significant cash needed to make a live-action version of their 1999 animated hit.
