10 Disney Movie Mistakes You Can't Unsee
3. Cinderella's Dress Keeps Changing - Cinderella
The 1950 film, Cinderella, has one of the most famous moments in Disney history. When the titular character laments how she cannot go to the ball, her Fairy Godmother turns Cinderella's rags into a beautiful gown. Walt Disney himself stated that this scene was the greatest thing his team ever animated.
It's ironic how iconic Cinderella's attire is considering the animators can't seem to agree on what it looks like. When the Fairy Godmother creates this frock, it is white and silver. By the time Cinderella arrives at the ball, her gown has turned blue, (which is how it is usually depicted in posters and promotions).
Weirder still, this isn't the only time Cinderella's wardrobe changes in mid-scene. When she marries Prince Charming in the final scene, she runs down the aisle with her new husband wearing a long sleeved dress.
In the very last shot, it is clear Cinderella is wearing a short-sleeved outfit. It's a safe assumption none of the animators clocked this gaffe since her arm in the final scene could have easily been painted to match the colour of her garb.
