10 Disney Movie Mistakes You Can't Unsee

2. Is Flynn Shackled Or Not? - Tangled

Tangled Mistake
Disney

At the end of Tangled, Rapunzel's love, Flynn Rider, is imprisoned in the castle and sentenced to be hanged. As he marches to his execution, his hands are shackled to ensure he cannot escape. As he makes his way around the castle, he is rescued by a group of thugs he met earlier. As the guards burst into the room, Flynn's shackles magically disappear, allowing him to run off with ease.

This isn't a major mistake so only the most eagle-eyed observers will notice it. But what makes this goof really weird is that it happens again less than five minutes later! When Flynn reaches Rapunzel's tower to rescue her, he is fatally wounded by her wicked stepmother, Gothel. When Rapunzel agrees to stay with her stepmother if she saves Flynn, Gothel chains him just in case he tries to flee.

As the pair have a tender moment, Flynn strokes Rapunzel's face. In this shot, his hand is clearly unshackled but in the next shot his shackle is back! How did Disney make this oversight twice in a row? Is Flynn allergic to being chained up or something?
