10 Disney Movies You Didn’t Know Were Shameless Rip-Offs
4. Who Framed Roger Rabbit
Who Framed Roger Rabbit is a movie classic, there is no question. Like director Robert Zemeckis other biggest films Romancing the Stone and Back to the Future Roger Rabbit is a staple of American cinema. It is funny, exciting and infinitely memorable. But the tale was not always a cinematic one. The film is based on novel Who Censored Roger Rabbit by Gary Wolf but the film is so changed from the original book that not only the plot has morphed from a murder mystery trying to discover who killed comic-character-Roger then censored his speech mark to cover up their tracks into the marginally more light hearted romp but the entire world of the book has been updated to one in which cartoon characters like Mickey, Donald and Bugs live side by side with humans as opposed to popular characters from comics like Snoopy, Dick Tracey and Hagar the Horrible.
