9. Guardians Of The Whills: Chirrut & Baze
With a Cassian Andor series already happening, why not keep the Rogue One: A Star Wars Story train rolling with a deep dive into the backstories into two of the movies most intriguing characters: Chirrut Imwe and Baze Malbus as well as their devotion to the force.
Both characters were members of the Guardians of the Whills, a religious order turned religious group dedicated to the force. A fascinating group yet to be properly explored in the current canon.
An expedition into the Guardians, who resided on Jedha as the protectors of the Temple of Kyber, as well as the pair of close friends would be fantastic.
It is an area of Star Wars lore yet to be explored in an on screen, live action medium but that is yearning for it. Disney+ presents that opportunity on a kyber platter.
The pair are not the most central characters of the story we see them in. However, Baze and Chirrut have an interesting dynamic; with their role in the Guardians also begging to be explained.
