10 Disturbing Consequences Of Kick-Ass 2's Ending

1. Everyone Still Thinks Dave F**ked A 15-Year-Old

Kick Ass 2 The reason Dave is girlfriend-less when he rocks up at the Justice Forever group is quite simple €“ Katie Deauxma thinks he's been having sex with Mindy, a 15-year-old girl. If this was an event nobody else knew about, it would be bad enough. However, lots of people clearly know about it €“ Brooke, the Queen Bee of Mindy's year, makes remarks that everyone knows about her and Dave's suspected affair, implying that it's gone around the school. Really, the misunderstanding is pretty funny and a good source of comic embarrassment. Yet let's analyse this for a moment €“ Dave can't tell anyone the true reality, because to tell the truth about what was really happening would rumble his secret identity (though it's already easily rumble-able, as I hope I've established). So Dave's reputation is already irrevocably tarnished with one hell of a black mark. After all, she's 15, and I assume that Dave is 18 at this point. So even if the Police don't hear about this enforced fabrication, he's still going to be looked upon badly by his peers. Although on the off-chance the police do step in, there's a possibility Dave is going to prison for sex with a minor. Hell, even if he does exonerate himself by saying he's Kick-Ass, he's still going to prison for vigilante-ism. I suppose you could argue that the Police know who Mindy is by this point and that might exonerate him, but he'll still have to expose himself as the real Kick-Ass, with all the peril that goes with that. Really, it just can't work out well for Dave €“ he's either going to prison on sex offences or he's going to prison as a famous crime-fighter. Either way, he's going to be a prime target for other prisoners.
