10 Disturbing Consequences Of Kick-Ass 2's Ending

2. Nobody Learnt Anything

kick ass 2 review I know, it's more an overarching theme and it's been hinted at numerous times throughout this article, but I felt it had to be referenced up front. Nobody, and that's nobody, learns anything from the events of Kick-Ass 2, with the possible exception of Chris D'Amico. Hit-Girl wasn't able to balance her civilian life with her superhero one, Dave will remain Kick-Ass despite the death of his father (in fact, if anything, he's more committed to it, as shown by the armoured helmet) and the Justice Forever team are still doing superheroic things, just without their masks for protection. So let's look at these objectively. Hit-Girl has effectively failed as a regular person €“ she's let her guardian down (who's probably going to prison) and is happy to live an isolated life cutting a murderous conga through whichever city in which she happens to settle. She's not grown as a person at all, and she'll probably never lead anything approaching a normal life. I know that she doesn't mind at the moment, but it's still something of a tragedy in the long run. Dave is continuing in the Kick-Ass persona despite his cover being blown €“ remember, everyone thought it was his dad, but it's going to be very obvious that it wasn't when they see Kick-Ass reappear. As shown at the start of the film, he's not as well-trained as Hit-Girl so will probably get clobbered in minutes. Hell, even if he does get away, they know where he lives. Finally, the Justice Forever crew are down to their least-trained members, yet they're still going to continue fighting in open daylight and unmasked. Effectively, this means that Remembering Tommy €“ the middle-aged husband and wife who are pretty awful fighters €“ will be dead within weeks. After all, while her handbag-thwacking was a good joke in the film, there's only so many times a stunt like that is going to work until someone breaks out a gun.
