10 Disturbing Consequences Of Kick-Ass 2's Ending

6. Dave's Friend Still Killed His Dad

Ass Kicker Speaking of people who really don't get their comeuppance, Dave's friend Todd seems to occupy the same bracket as Uncle Ralph. Oh sure, he doesn't end up with millions in cash or anything, but out of all the main cast, Todd commits one of the most heinous actions. Namely, he's the guy almost wholly responsible for the death of Dave's dad, and he just seems to completely get away with it. Yes, I know it's Chris who actually sends the goons to kill Lizewski senior, but none of that would have happened if Todd hadn't let slip Kick-Ass's true identity. And it's not like he did it accidentally €“ he goes out of his way to turn up at the Motherf**ker's lair and spill the beans. The only reason he did this was because Dave and Marty laughed at his pathetic attempt at creating a superhero alter-ego, meaning that really, Todd gave out some of the most heinous disproportionate retribution in this film, and doesn't receive any punishment in return. In fact, he even gets a heroic moment when armed with a sick stick, he saves Battle Guy from a potentially fatal whupping. Frankly, I don't think that's enough to redeem the guy, and I don't think Dave even knows by film close that Todd sold him and his father out. Whatever happens, they're going to have one hell of a chat eventually, and I don't think it's going to end well.
