3. Doctor Gravity Is Going To Be Killed/Mentally Traumatised
A huge part of Kick-Ass 2's ending message is that you don't need masks to be super, and to make that apparent we see Doctor Gravity chase a mugger down the street with a look of delirious happiness on his face. Clearly, busting criminal skulls is all this man lives for anymore. His job as an Ad Exec means nothing now he loves acting like a superhero, but he doesn't need the costume. Please tell me in what way is that a good ending? This man seems to be happily throwing himself into an ultraviolent existence, and doesn't seem to think about his actions. Remember that in the previous scene you saw him most definitely commit murder for the first time with his 'Zero-G' baseball bat. That's going to cause severe mental trauma to a man who is ostensibly a civilian in a leotard. And remember now, he no longer wears a leotard, but he's damn well still a civilian. He's not exactly the most formidable bloke in existence, but he's still throwing himself into battles against hardened criminals whenever the opportunity presents itself. So really, it's just a question of what's going to snap first for Doctor Gravity his body, or his mind. Either way, something's definitely gotta give.
