Unfortunately for the quaint desert town of Perfection, Nevada their name is a total misnomer in this cult classic horror, thanks to the presence of the prehistoric underground worms later named "Graboids" who pay a visit to terrorise the fifteen residents of the town. The irony of the entire film is the fact that the Graboids live underground and travel by burrowing around this town, which used to be reliant on mining. Devoid of eyes, the Graboids hunt and travel by way of sound, picking up on vibrations underground in order to track down their prey which consists of Kevin Bacon, the father from Family Ties (Michael Gross), oh, and Reba McIntyre brandishing an assault rifle. McIntyre and Gross, who play a survivalist married couple known as Heather and Burt Gummer, first encounter the Graboids when one decides to crash through their rec room after picking up the vibrations and sound of their cartridge case polisher. This is when the Gummers learn, first-hand, that the Graboids utilize their disgusting and powerful tongues in order to catch their targets. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qFNBUs7O-h4
