7. A Nightmare On Elm Street III: The Dream Warriors (1987)
Wes Craven never wanted A Nightmare On Elm Street to become a franchise, but then after not participating in the first sequel, Craven returned with the third installment in the series with every intention of this film being the franchise's last. Unfortunately for Craven, the film's success meant that Freddy Krueger would live on. In this instalment, Krueger returns to torment the remaining children of Elm Street, all of whom wind up in Westin Hills, a psychiatric hospital after night-time mutilations by Krueger made them look like suicide risks. Their cases brings Nancy Thompson (Heather Langenkamp) to Westin Hills to work as a dream therapist, where she plans to wage one final stand against her arch nemesis in an effort to save Joey Crusel (Rodney Eastman), who was put into a coma after encountering Freddy. That's where the disturbing tongue scene comes into play. The mute Joey - unaware that he is asleep or dreaming - is seduced by the beautiful nurse who caught his eye early in the film, and who inevitably makes his wildest fantasies come true, stripping down in all her glory before launching into some enthusiastic tonguing. Joey's excitement turns to despair when he realizes that the nurse is really Freddy in disguise and he winds up being tongue-tied to a bed (literally) over a blistering inferno like a human rotisserie.
