10 Documentaries On Netflix Better Than Making A Murderer
7. Get Me Roger Stone
Following his election as president of the United States of America in 2016, much has been said and written about Donald Trump's meteoric rise to success in politics. However, Netflix's 2017 documentary takes an in-depth look at the man behind Trump's successful campaign, the infamous political strategist, Roger Stone.
The film documents much of his illustrious 40-year career, from his beginnings working on both Richard Nixon and Ronald Reagan's successful presidential campaigns to his later work as a public relations advisor during the 2000 Florida vote recount, culminating in his assistance in Trump's bid for the Republican candidacy in the 2016 US presidential election.
In addition to Stone's life story, the film contains interviews with prominent US political figures who provide a unique insight into the mind of an extremely eccentric man, who famously sports a large tattoo of Nixon's face on his upper back.
It also explores his more underhand political strategies, including numerous controversial attack adverts and other alleged less-than-legal dealings, which all leads to a fascinating, if not slightly terrifying, documentary on one of US politics' lesser-known figures.
