As far as true crime documentaries go, Netflix's 2018 series Evil Genius tells the story of one of the most bizarre and disturbing bank robberies in US criminal history - 2003's 'Collar Bomb Heist'.

So-called as it involved the murder of pizza delivery driver Brian Wells, who, after being strapped to a bomb, was forced to participate in a scavenger hunt which started by robbing a Pennsylvanian bank.

Evil Genius follows the fallout from the murder and the subsequent investigation, which is often considered to be one of the most complex cases ever worked by the FBI, featuring fascinating interviews with eyewitnesses and the investigators themselves.

Although it may not have the same level of notoriety as some of Netflix's other true crime offerings, Evil Genius is a captivating watch which explores perhaps one of the weirdest crimes of the 21st century.
