10 Dream Castings For The Upcoming He-Man Movie

4. Felicity Jones - Teela

As Captain of the Royal Eternian Guard, the tough-as-nails Teela is one of the most skilful fighters in the land, and arguably the show's most iconic female character. The upcoming film would not be a true He-Man movie without her, making her casting something of a make-or-break element.

As the daughter of the Sorceress, a logical choice to play this character would be Felicity Jones, known for her role of Jyn Erso in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. It's completely believable that Jones and Cate Blanchett could be on-screen relatives - especially if Blanchett breaks out her flawless British accent.

And Jones has absolutely shown her skill in the action film genre, which is perfect for Teela's aggressive and pragmatic disposition. The contrast between this and the more stoic nature of the Sorceress could make for some interesting family conflict in the movie.

Teela's backstory is rich with detail, so there is more than enough material for the film's writers to draw on. Many incarnations of her also set the character up as He-Man's main love interest, which shows Teela's sensitive side in tandem with her battle prowess. With her award-winning performances and ever-expanding acting diversity, these facets are all things that Jones is capable of bringing to the table.
