10 Dream MCU Projects Disney Will (Probably) Never Make

8. The Howling Commandos (And Maybe The Invaders)

For reasons that'll be made obvious in literally the next couple of words, a Howling Commandos film is potentially the coolest project Marvel will never be able to adapt.

Joe Johnston's Captain America: The First Avenger was a fine look at Steve Rogers' origins and his exploits during the Second World War, but it had a lot of ground to cover, so much so that the Howling Commandos - Cap's WW2 unit that he organised alongside Sgt. Nick Fury - only appear in a few scenes and have the bulk of their service during the war covered via montage.

But here's the thing - World War II was a huge event and it was equally pivotal for Marvel. Key figures like Cap and Fury fought alongside each other, and the best part of all? Wolverine was involved too.

A film revolving around Cap, Bucky, Fury and Wolverine during WW2 would've been immense, and if Marvel were especially keen, they could've even tied it to the modern day by adapting Madripoor Knights and including Black Widow. Now though, with Chris Evans and Scarlett Johansson's time with the MCU at an end, there's literally zero chance of this one ever coming to fruition.
