10 Dumb Decisions In The DC Extended Universe We Can't Forgive

5. No Black Suit Superman

Superman Justice League
DC Comics

Comic book fans are a picky bunch, but there are understandably certain things they want to see brought to the big screen. Now, we've already touched on how Batman v Superman dropped the ball with Doomsday, but not giving the Man of Steel his black costume when he rose from the grave was a major blunder.

Zack Snyder has hinted that he had plans to put Henry Cavill in that costume, but with Joss Whedon determined to deliver a hopeful, happy take on Superman in Justice League, it was simply never going to happen (especially with such a short runtime).

You can only kill Superman once, so the moment has now passed for this to happen. Just a single scene with the hero wearing a black costume - when he fought his fellow heroes, for example - would have been appreciated, but perhaps the budget was blown on that terrible CGI mouth of his? Either way, both the death and resurrection of Supes was mishandled by all involved.
