10 Dumb Movie Sequels That Had Nothing To Do With The Originals

1. Troll 2 (1990)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9KCct4RwLNM It's A Sequel To...Troll (1986) Chances are even if you've never seen Troll 2, you've heard about its reputation as what is possibly the worst movie ever made. Thing is, the title of this movie clearly implies that it's a follow-up to another movie that already exists - the fact that there's a "2" in the title kind of enforces that notion. Not so. You'd also probably be safe to assume that, given that the word "Troll" is in the title, that there would be trolls in the movie. Not so! There is a movie called Troll, by the way, and that's the movie that this "sequel" tries to get by on the reputation of (it does, in fact, have an awful reputation). The fact that the original Troll is about magic and witches, and the sequel is about a group of vegetarian goblins who try to turn an American family into plants so they can eat them (?), means that there's zero link between the movies at all. Like, none. Created using American "extras" (yes!) and an Italian crew (who spoke no English), the director of this movie insisted that his cast spoke his dialogue exactly as it was written down - a terrible mistake on that man's part, as gloriously witnessed if you've ever seen the movie. Fact is, this is an abomination of filmmaking, albeit a massively entertaining one. I myself still can't get over the fact that there are zero trolls in a movie called Troll 2, in which the tagline was: "One was not enough." So, uh, none is enough, then? Like this article?
