1. Dr. Andrew Fassbach - World War Z
Zombie movie World War Z boasts one of the most hilariously dumb - yet oddly relatable - deaths in disaster movie history.
Dr. Andrew Fassbach (Elyes Gabel) is a young virologist tasked with putting a stop to the zombie plague, but he ends up meeting his maker prematurely when he and his armed team are attacked by zombies after touching down in South Korea.
Fassbach is given a gun to protect himself, yet despite protagonist Gerry Lane (Brad Pitt) warning him to keep his finger off the trigger, he ultimately foregoes that advice.
As such, when he flees to the plane's cargo bay during the zombie attack, he slips on the wet ramp and accidentally shoots himself in the head.
While on one hand there's an almost believable idiocy to this guy's death - given that he wasn't weapons-trained in the slightest - that doesn't make it any less dumb.
