10 Dumbest Criticisms Of Star Wars

2. "Dialogue? More like DIRE-logue!"

If there's one thing that Star Wars has been criticised for across the whole saga, it's the dialogue. Even Han Solo himself, Harrison Ford, admits he once said to the series' mastermind, "George, you can type this s**t, but you can't say it". Sure, there are some clunkers to be found in the Star Wars films, particularly in the prequels (though even Revenge Of The Sith features a masterful monologue from Ian McDiarmid as Palpatine, which expertly shows the manipulative power of the future Emperor in the briefest of scenes). But Star Wars is also full of gems that people are still quoting today. "I love you." "I know."/"I am your father."/"The force is strong with this one."/"The Force will be with you...always." - these are all lines of dialogue that decades on people still love. Furthermore, imagine a world in which "It's a trap!" wasn't something people said at times of emergency in that voice.
