6 Green Goblin - Spider-Man

How He Dies

By penis-focused trauma, mostly. Having been unmasked in his final battle with Peter Parker, Norman Osborn begs for mercy, claiming the Goblin took control of him, while simultaneously lining up his glider to impale Peter from behind.

Then he gives Peter a final grand-standing moment of menace and flies it at him. Only he obviously jumps out of the way, because he's got Spider Sense and the glider ploughs into Osborn, killing him. Right in the dick.

Why It's Dumb

Because it's entirely avoidable. Osborn knows precisely how agile and reactive Spidey is, because he's fought him already, yet he allows a moment of hubris to cloud his judgement and instead of doing something more to incapacitate Peter to make sure he is hit by the glider, he's too keen to say something pithy.

He would have been vastly better served by simply stepping out of the way while setting the glider to attack, because even if it had hit Spidey, it would still have killed him too. So his triumphant crowing is even more absurd.
