10 Dumbest Decisions Ever Made By MCU Heroes

1. Star-Lord Woke Thanos Up

This one hit the MCU fandom so hard that Peter Quill, former darling of the Guardians of the Galaxy, became a villain in the eyes of so many. Had it not been for his rashness, and complete lack of judgement, Thanos would never have beaten Earth’s Mightiest Heroes.

In order to acquire the Soul Stone, Thanos had to sacrifice something that he loved. The only possibility here was Gamora, who he flung from the cliffs of Vormir to further his quest of collecting all six stones and correcting the universe.

Peter had only just begun to win Gamora over, she had only just said those three magic words as Thanos took her away, and he was desperate to get her back.

Unfortunately for him, the Avengers, the Guardians, and everyone in the entire universe, Peter learned of Gamora’s death at exactly the wrong time. Just as Peter Parker, Tony Stark, and Drax were about to get the Infinity Gauntlet off the Mad Titan’s giant, purple hand, Star-Lord lost control and attacked his would-be father-in-law.

This woke him from Mantis’ sleep power, and allowed him to keep the stones, defeat the Avengers (twice), and kill half of all living things in the universe. Is it harsh to say the Blip was all Peter Quill’s fault? Possibly. Is it accurate? Also possibly.
