10 Dumbest Decisions Ever Made By MCU Villains

2. Thanos Didn't Kill Thor

Every single hero had at least one moment to shine throughout the huge double whammy ending to the Infinity Saga that was Infinity War and Endgame. Thor however, had more than most. He was there when Thanos was introduced, he was there when Thanos snapped, and he was ultimately the one who killed the Thanos of the original timeline.

“You should have gone for the head” has become one of the most iconic lines in MCU history, and is what sent Thor into his downward spiral of depression and alcoholism, but in theory he never should have had the chance to get that close to the Mad Titan at all.

The very first scene showed Thanos and his Black Order infiltrating the Asgardian escape ship from the end of Thor: Ragnarok, looking for Loki and the Tesseract. As the main part of his strategy to get the Infinity Stone from Loki, he essentially tortured the God of Thunder until the God of Mischief cracked.

If Thanos knew who Loki was, and knew who Tony Stark was, then he knew who Thor was. He should have known what threat Odin’s firstborn son could cause him, and instead of leaving him alive when he fled with his two Infinity Stones, he should have simply killed Thor and relieved himself of one of the strongest adversaries he would face on the battlefield later on.
