10 Dumbest Decisions Ever Made In Horror Movies

6. Scream - Trying To Escape Through The Doggie Door

Tatum Riley Scream
Dimension Films

When Tatum Riley is confronted by Ghostface inside the garage, she has two options: attempt to flee through a doggie door that was clearly too small to fit through, or fight him to the death.

There are weapons everywhere in that garage. Tools, glass bottles that she doesn't wield creatively enough, and patio furniture that's heavy enough to do her pursuer some serious damage if thrown particularly hard.

Ghostface was armed with a blade, but picking up a garden hoe would have tipped the odds in Tatum's favour by giving her the clear advantage of ranged attacks. But instead of taking the fight to her opponent, she chose to try and flee through a doggie door that most dogs would struggle to fit through, making her a sitting duck, and one with a broken neck at that.
