10 Dumbest Decisions In Action Movie History

9. Calling Out A Notorious Terrorist With Your Home Address - Iron Man 3

The MCU's Tony Stark never lacked for confidence, in either himself or his technology. As the leader of the Avengers, that bravado served him well as he attempted to keep the team together and in the good graces of the people the team was sworn to protect.

Sometimes, however, Tony's mouth got ahead of his brain and common sense - and it cost him big time!

In Iron Man 3, after his friend and confidante Happy Hogan is hospitalized in an attack by the Mandarin's terrorists, Tony, in a fit of anger, challenges the terrorist mastermind on television. He dares the Mandarin and his men to come to his house, and includes his address as icing on the cake.

Of course, since the Mandarin is a criminal mastermind with a massive ego, exactly what Tony wanted to happen happened, and several helicopter gunships descend on Tony's oceanfront home, obliterating it.

Not only did Tony bring this on himself, but he only has a prototype suit ready to respond to the attack, he didn't activate any of the other suits like he does for the final battle, and he puts not only his life but that of Pepper and Maya at risk.

Perhaps he needed some tactical training from Cap.
