10 Dumbest Decisions In Action Movie History
7. Killing John Wick's Puppy - John Wick
John Wick is not a man to trifle with. As Viggo Tarasov eloquently said, John is the one you call when you want to kill the f***ing Boogeyman.
Which is why the decision by Viggo's son, Iosef - a young man who is desperate to climb the ranks of his father's criminal empire - to kill John's new puppy and steal his classic car is just so, so bad.
The puppy, you see, was a gift from John's recently deceased wife; a last gesture by her to make sure that her beloved husband wasn't alone after she was gone.
It is this act of mindless violence (which we thankfully don't see, but certainly hear offscreen), that sends John back into the assassin's world of chaos and bloodshed he left behind; a world that sees him take on seemingly every Russian mobster in New York hand-to-hand, with a blade, or with oh-so-many guns.
In fact, it can be said that Iosef's act of stupidity toppled a complete criminal empire and turned a man who had settled for a peaceful life back into a killing machine.
Iosef even tries to make the argument to John himself that it was just a dog. Unfortunately, the argument wasn't that persuasive, and John puts a .50 round through his skull.
