10 Dumbest Decisions In DCEU History

4. Batman Tried To Kill Superman

In just the second ever DCEU movie, Warner Bros. tried to rush to their first big ‘Avengers moment’. This came by pitting Batman against Superman, two of the greatest comic book titans in history going toe to toe on the big screen for the first time ever.

On paper, this movie should have been epic, but it fell short in so many different ways. One such was the story itself, and the paper thin pretext for Batman going after Superman. He saw him as a threat and so made it his obsession to see him dead.

It didn’t matter to Bruce Wayne that Superman had done nothing but protect Earth since being revealed by General Zod. Yes, there was a lot of collateral damage, but did that mean he deserved to die? Bruce saying that if there was even a one percent chance that Superman was a threat they had to treat it as an absolute certainty was one of the most ridiculous lines of the whole movie.

Batman never once considered trying to talk to Superman or reason with him. The only thing on his mind was Clark Kent’s death, something that he soon realised was one of the worst things that could have happened to the planet.
