10 Dumbest Decisions In Spider-Man Movies

1. Taking Off The Training Wheels

When Tony Stark found an impressionable young superhero in Brooklyn, he recruited him to the cause, and from that moment, Spider-Man was no longer just a street-level hero. He put him on the path to become an Avenger, and Peter Parker ate it up, but the young man wanted more.

Stark let him keep the suit he engineered, but with some limitations. Peter could continue being Spider-Man, but only if he kept under the radar. Stark knew he was still a kid, and he wanted to protect him, so he engineered some safety protocols into the suit he made for him.

The so-called "Training Wheels Protocol" was coded into the suit's operating system, and it worked much like a video game tutorial. As Peter went through the various steps outlined in the program, he would successively unlock various tools, equipment upgrades, and protocols. The more he worked at it, the stronger he would become.

When Pete learned of this, he did what any boy genius would do, and turned the protocol off with the help of his buddy, Ned. That wasn't a wise decision, and it ultimately proved Peter wasn't ready for the big time after his recklessness nearly killed him and many others. Stark demanded the suit back, and Peter learned a valuable lesson.
