10 Dumbest Decisions In Zombie Movie History

1. Nicole Tries To Rescue The Dog - Dawn Of The Dead (2004)

Zack Snyder's 2004 Dawn of the Dead remake may have been a surprisingly solid reimagining of Romero's original, though audiences were nevertheless left shaking their heads at the action of one member of the group.

Shy, naive Nicole (Lindy Booth) becomes obsessed with the survivors' adopted stray dog Chips, and when Chips is sent to deliver supplies to Andy (Bruce Bohne) across the street, her unhealthy attachment to the dog basically leads to everyone else's deaths.

It's made clear that the zombies have no interest in Chips, but regardless, Nicole commandeers a vehicle, pulls up to Andy's store, and finds herself attacked by a now-zombified Andy.

This forces the group to mount a rescue effort to save her, resulting in them losing the safe haven of the mall to the zombies and requiring that they evacuate.

This causes not only numerous on-screen deaths, but the film's end credits suggest that even the "survivors" didn't actually make it, as a brief found footage sequence shows them being swarmed by zombies when they arrive at an island with minimal supplies.

If Nicole had acted rationally and pragmatically, they just might've made it.
