10 Dumbest Decisions In Zombie Movie History
8. Giving An Inexperienced Scientist A Gun - World War Z
Unlike the very deliberate comedy in the two aforementioned movies, World War Z boasts a stupid decision that results in an unintentionally hilarious death scene.
Dr. Fassbach (Elyes Gabel) is one of the movie's minor characters, a virologist attempting to find the origins of the zombie virus and put a stop to it.
While part of a military convoy in South Korea with protagonist Gerry Lane (Brad Pitt), however, a zombie fleet attacks, prompting a spooked Fassbach to run back to the plane, trip over the cargo ramp, and accidentally shoot himself in the head.
Now, while screw-ups like this do happen and it's actually a relatively "realistic" death for a zombie film, it's also easy to question the logic of the situation.
Even if you can forgive the clumsy, nervous scientist for blasting his own wig off, what about everybody else not giving him a gun without first showing him how to use it safely? Jeez.
